Free Your Potential is a social enterprise dedicated to empowering young women and teenage girls by building community, creativity, professional skills and access to meaningful work experience.
We believe that the relationships and skills that teenage girls build, shape the women they become.
We provide a welcoming environment for young women and teenage girls in Hertfordshire to collaborate with each other, and amplify the topics that matter most to them on a digital media platform.
Free Your Potential is an innovative new social enterprise comprised of:
FYP Media An online media platform providing opportunities to write, design, create and publish content, led by and for teenagers aged 12-18.
The Hangout Opportunities to hang out online and in person, get creative and be inspired. With workshops and speakers run by FYP Sisters, skilled professionals and local businesses.
FYP Sisters A growing network of ‘Big Sisters’ who are willing to volunteer their time to inspire and mentor our growing cohort of young women and teenage girls in Hertfordshire.
We do this by:
Partnering with female focused businesses to create opportunities that bridge the gap between school and work
Volunteering and CV building opportunities
Offering a safe space where young girls can build confidence, skills, connections and complete work experience
The skills and experience gained with Free Your Potential will increase confidence and readiness for future career opportunities.
